My top 10 favorite organizational products

There are so many organizational products out there that claim to make your life easier and more organized. I often get asked which ones are really worth the money. It is pretty hard to narrow it down to only ten favorites, but below are my top tried and true picks.

These storage solutions will not magically make you organized but they will help tame the chaos in your space - and make everything look better.  I love all of the products listed below, and personally use them in my own home.

I have provided links below to the sources I use. However many of these products you can buy at multiple locations like Amazon, Container Store, IKEA or Target.

one // Lazy Susan Divided Turntable.  Where can you use these? Where can’t you? I use them to store makeup and craft supplies. They work equally well in the laundry room for cleaning supplies, in the pantry for oils and granola bars, and at a coffee station for Keurig K-cups or tea. The possibilities are endless!

two // Acrylic Shelf Dividers.  These have literally transformed my closet. They easily organize shelves that are messy or cluttered by keeping items vertically in place. My jeans and sweater piles have never looked so good. They are also good for corralling towels and handbags.

three // White Multi-Purpose Bins. These bins are the best multi-taskers I have found! I use them in every room for clients - from basements to pantries to laundry rooms. They come in multiple sizes, are easy to grab and reasonably priced.  Pair them with cute labels and you are good to go.

four // Adjustable Door (and Wall) Rack. I love this shelving unit for maximizing real estate on the back of a door (or wall). It is great for holding cans and snacks in the pantry or for hanging toiletries inside a linen closet. I have one in my craft closet that holds everything from stationary to ribbons.

five // Drawer Storage Boxes. I particularly like IKEA Skubb boxes. These collapsible containers come in multiple sizes. They fit easily in drawers and bring order to your socks, lingerie, accessories and t-shirts.

six // Airtight Food Storage Set. This OXO Good Grips set gets your pantry in order. These airtight containers have a push-button seal, are stackable and perfect for keeping decanted foods like cereal, pasta, and nuts fresh.  I use mine for baking ingredients like flour and sugar.

seven // Non-Slip Velvet Hangers.  These flocked hangers take up very little room and prevent clothes from sliding off. I use these slim profile hangers for everything but heavy coats and suits (and for these I love wooden hangers). I always tell clients that using the same type of hanger throughout your closet gives it a polished, uniform look - which ultimately may motivate you to stay better organized.

eight // Houseware Organization Rack. What a great way to vertically file your cutting boards, cookie sheets and muffin tins. Makes sliding them in and out so much easier.

nine // Bamboo Drawer Dividers. These spring loaded dividers help control the chaos in your junk or utensil drawers. They also keep dishes from bumping into each other and folded clothes in order. Although they come in other materials, I love the aesthetics of these.

ten // Plastic Storage Bins. There are so many options out there for household storage bins, but these are my favorite. I use them for all my clients. The price point can’t be beat. These clear bins stack well, are lightweight and have a simple silhouette. They come in three perfect sizes - 66 QT (memorabilia storage and seasonal clothing), 16 QT (craft and office supplies), and 6 QT (shoes).
